Help local people reach their appointments by driving for our volunteer car scheme.
You will live within our catchment area and be able to give time helping our clients access their appointments.
Active, reliable drivers with a well-maintained car (preferably four doors with rear seat belts and an engine over 1001cc), a clean driving licence, confirmation from your insurer, a DBS check and two independent references plus one from your doctor.
Carry passengers on pre-booked journeys for medical or social purposes, help clients between their front door and the car, fold wheelchairs or frames if needed, assist with shopping, and deal with clients in a courteous and friendly manner.
Drivers are paid a mileage rate for journeys made on our behalf and are required to keep accurate records to complete monthly claim forms.
